Line 1 weekends still run single-car trains
After metal flaking was found in wheel cartridge bearing assemblies in January 2026, Line 1 ran single-car trains for months. Double-car trains returned on weekdays in mid-June 2026; weekends still run single-car service while the bearing replacement program continues, so expect fuller trains and longer platform waits on Saturdays and Sundays. (Since January 2026; from public reporting, not a live feed.)
